Why this exists
I am Klaus, and I built clickclickbook to scratch my own itch. I wanted a simple way to turn a folder of photos into a printed book, together with the people who were there. Now it is online, and you can use it too.
What it costs
Nothing. There is no business model yet. Maybe one day I will charge for something, add affiliate links to printers, or find another way to cover the costs. First I want to see whether anyone uses it at all. If that changes, I will say so here and in the app before it happens.
My promise
Whatever changes, you will always be able to download the albums you have already started as a PDF. I will not lock your existing work behind a paywall.
Your album
You start an album with your email address. I send you a link and a password. Anyone with both can change the album, so share them only with people you trust. Your email address is the owner of the album. Only the owner can delete it or change the link and password.
Your photos and texts
They stay yours. You give me the right to store, process, and show them, but only to run this service. Upload only content that you have the right to use, and make sure that the people in your photos agree. No illegal content.
I can take an album offline if it breaks these rules. Report an album to abuse@clickclickbook.com.
How long an album lives
An album lives 100 days from its start. You can extend this as often as you need. It can hold 5 GB of original photos. After the end date or a deletion, you can restore the album for 7 days. After that, the data is gone. Keep your own copies of your photos.
No guarantees
This is a side project. It can be down, it can have bugs, and I can change or stop it. If I stop it, I will give you notice and time to download your PDFs. I am fully liable for intent and gross negligence, and for injury to life, body, or health. In all other cases I am liable only as far as the law requires. German law applies.
Who is behind it
Klaus Breyer, as named in the imprint. How I handle your data is in the privacy notice.
No lawyer has checked this text. It says what I mean.
